Aidpage

Due to a message from another Aidpage member, "Pizza for my Peeps" is on hold. I think my idea is on hold as well. I am considering, attempting, a real charity. Possibly finding a Pizza corporation to allow people to add a dollar to their bill, or something along that line. I'm really interested in this, but I would have to be very Organized. I just downloaded the IRS application. I would be the President, and I would need at least a Vice President, and a trustworthy accountant. For the IRS to be happy that I am organized. And possibly more... still researching. Volunteers Post here

OK, tell me if I've totally lost it. But this is my idea, for "Pizza for my Peeps".

I will ask for small monetary donations here: Temporarily on hold, due to message from someone stating that I may be violating the law(more research!)

When I recieve at least $20 dollars in this paypal account, Then I will ask for nominations , no self requests. Then together we can pick who will get a free Pizza, or just the cash. If fact when you post a nomination, we ask the winner if they want the CASH or PIZZA. We will choose someone, then they get the money or a Pizza from Pizzahut.com. Any Ideas? or additions? Oh, almost forgot. I will keep none of this money. If there is a little($2 or under) extra, it will be the delivery drivers tip, more will go to the nominees paypal account, which is free and easy to get. Get a paypal account here

Update (2hrs later) Pizzahut.com has E gift Cards, so this is probably how they will recieve their Pizza.

Policy and Promise:

I Laura Adcock Promise that all donations for "Pizza for my Peeps" will only be used for said program. This is not a scam. It is just a way to brighten someone's day. If this program take's off this Policy will not change, though there could be addition's to the giving. In a addition, please do not expect the person you nominate to get the money you donate. If you want 1 particular individual to get your donation, I advise contacting them directly. This is done with the best of intention's. Hopefully we can make someone feel a little better, if only for a minute. Also, you do not have to donate to nominate, and vise versa.

To Whom it may concern:

Well it should concern everyone! Most of Americans are having a horrible time making ends meet. Usually the ends don't meet at all. And now it's Christmas, everyone I know, give or take a few people, can't even afford one present for one child. This is awful! Call "Toys for Tots" right? NOT! I have told people the same thing. But unless you know how the system works, you are probably out of luck there too. You have to sign up way early. And how are we supposed to know that the car will break down or someone will have to go to the hospital and all the Christmas money will be gone. I am not down on Toys for Tots, it is a great organization, and they do a wonderful job. There is just not enough to go around. Many people have gone from making $50,000 to $100,000 a year to next to nothing. Or they have no health insurance, and medical bills are eating away at their rent and utility payments. I am writing to let you know, that you can see some of these stories at www.aidpage.com , Americans need help! Welfare isn't cutting it! Instead of Helping Americans, our (Bush)government is bailing out huge corporations, who blow their money on massages and expensive retreats, not to mention $100,000 bonus'. I have never seen $100,000 in my life! I love America, it is the home of the free, the best country in the world, but things are going down hill fast , and if our elected officials don't do something quick, things are going to be very bad. I hate to imagine. Just one more thing, you might find this trivial, but I don't, so here it is, there's not much I wouldn't do for a Pizza right now. How long has it been since you had one, for me it's been a really long time, frozen pizza doesn't count. I bet everyone on Aidpage would love one, if you would like to donate to this organization I am dubbing "Pizza for my Peeps" please send me a private message, and I will tell you where to send it. I am going to see if I can find Barak Obama's email. I doubt he'll see it, but maybe someone will. Perhaps I can send a copy to my local news network. I incourage everyone to do the same. Write your own letter or borrow mine. It doesn't matter, just write. Let our Voices be heard!

 Update: I just went to Obama's site, and it's still in the campaign phase, and the first page you get is THEM asking for money.

I'm am writing to rant! I cannot believe some of the things I have been seeing! I am ashamed for people who come on here, and delibrately belittle people. Everyone has a right to feel how they feel. Including people who are Jerks! But Aidpage is about People helping people! Not, people telling other people how petty their needs are. We all have problems great and small. Just because you believe that someone's problem is too small, or they are being winey, Well... that's none of your dang business. If that is the case, pass them by, "If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all!" Now I am not talking about  the people that come on here to take advantage of the naieve by sucking them in to one scheme or another. That's a whole differrent story. How can anyone come on Aidpage, and tell someone they are making too much of their sitiuation, or that they are just spoiled(even if they are). You don't know these people! What if they are on the edge of Suicide, or something even worse. If you feel like it's your duty in life to tell people things like this, there is always a better way to go about it. I saw one girl that asked for a pizza. And that's it. She gets told that she is making fun of people on here, and that their wish is that she really has to go through harder times in life. That's Just wrong. So in my little rebellious way, I just want to say, DANGIT! I want a PIZZA TOO!!!!!!!!!! Pizza for everyone!! I know you want one!

I forgot to mention that I'm one of the Assistant Managers at Villa Nova Pizza in N.B.  If you live in the area and wanna chip in, I'll give ya free pizza, 3 pizzas a week, for a month if you chip in $100 or more.  I'll pay for out outta my own pocket.
